We supply stationery retailers, book stores and school supply dealers across India with imported stationery, bags, bottles, pencil boxes and novelty items at trade rates. Direct importer, low MOQ, GST invoicing.

Your Business Runs on One Season

March to July decides your year. School admission season is when parents restock entire kits in a single visit, and it is the only period where the customer is buying by list rather than by impulse.

That creates a hard planning constraint. Imported stock takes around six weeks to arrive, which means session stock has to be booked in January or February. A dealer ordering in April is buying leftovers at worse rates and selling into a market that has already spent. The dealers who make money in this trade are the ones who commit early.

Where the Money Actually Is

Most stationery shops make the same error: they compete hard on pens and notebooks, which every shop stocks and every parent knows the price of, and under-stock the items that carry real margin.

The big-ticket items are the bag and the bottle. A school bag is ₹500–₹1,500 and bought once a year with almost no comparison shopping, because the child chooses on design. An insulated steel bottle and tiffin runs ₹300–₹900 because a leaking bottle is a daily problem parents will pay to avoid. A dealer stocking only pens and notebooks is capturing the smallest part of that parent's basket.

Novelty beats plain. A pencil box with a magnetic flap or hidden compartment sells at ₹250–₹500 against a plain ₹60 one right beside it. Same shelf, same customer. The child picks, and design wins over price.

Small items are the repeat business. Novelty erasers and stickers are bought by children with their own pocket money, collected in sets, and repurchased weekly. Landed cost is a few rupees; retail is ₹10–₹40 on design alone.

The Second Season Most Dealers Miss

Corporate gifting, October to December. Offices buy executive diaries and boxed pen sets in quantities of 100 to 1,000 for year-end distribution, with far less price negotiation than a retail customer.

The barrier is not stock — it is that most stationery dealers never approach local offices. One corporate account can be worth more than a month of counter sales. If you have never quoted for one, September is when to start.

Beyond the Session

Stationery shops near colleges and schools have a young customer base that most dealers under-serve. Keychains, character jewellery, anime figures and desk mats sell steadily year round to the same students who come in for notebooks, and they smooth out the gap between seasons.
